The FAA and the airlines want pilots who follow the letter of the law. It’s that simple.

Even if you get your license back, when you try to get a first class medical you will be asked has your license ever been suspended or revoked. You will have to answer yes to that question. At that point, your application could be deferred or denied. Without a first class medical, you can not be an airline pilot.
