Tucson ATP Location

Hello everyone. I recently located back to Arizona, Tucson specifically. I searched the forun and didn’t find any information about ATP’s Tucson location.

It seems that most Arizona residents are going to the Mesa location.

Has anyone here been a student at the Tucson school? If so, what was your experience?

Is it better to be near the Mesa area or does it not really matter that much?

Thanks.

Bran,

Mesa is a larger location due to it’s proximity to ASU and its also a maintenance facility. What you need to know is large or small ATP works very hard to standardize all their locations to ensure all their students receive the same level of training.

If Tucson works better for you I wouldn’t hesitant going there.

Bran,

ATP works very hard to standardize their locations as much as possible. The student experience really should be the same from one location to the next. I would simply pick the location that is most convenient for you and not give it any further thought.

Thank you for the info.

There was a poster who mentioned that he was living in Tucson and was either going to commute 1.5 hours to Mesa or just move there. Since I knew there was an ATP school in Tucson, I thought there may have been some reason that he wouldn’t just attend the Tucson location.

I believe Tucson is a relatively new location so depending on the date of that post, it may have been before it was opened. Same goes for the lack of info on it. Good luck!

Hey!
I just took my intro flight at the Tucson location and they were all sweet and nice. There are 3 rooms in total, one main office, one sim room and some computers/tables, and a classroom. I think there are 3 Cessnas and one Seminole. They’re next to the Tucson airport, so that could be a good thing. Maybe in the near future, I’ll be able to train there and give more information.

Veleshia,

Thank you for sharing your insights. Let us know if we canoe of any help.

Veleshia,
Tucson typically has consistently nice weather which means you’ll be able to fly a lot! Good news to move through the program quickly, but you’ll have to stay ahead of your studies to keep the pace up! Use this time from now until March to get ahead and you’ll be well set up for success!
