I am a veteran from US Army with GI Bill ch33 benefits.
I was wondering if airlines like or prefer candidates with ATP CTP and A320 type rating already done before applying to their airline.
I already have a degree and a lot left over on the GI Bill benefits so I was thinking might as well put it to use.
What do you guys think?

Foreign carriers like pilots with Type ratings, US carriers do not. They want to train you to fly THEIR airplane THEIR way.
Long short unless you’re going to China AND can get some time in type I’d pass.

If your goal is to fly a U.S. carrier, they will put you through the training that is required for flying with their company.
