ATP Multi Engine Rating

Hello there!

I have been researching ATP for my flight training to pursue a career in the airline industry. In their training outline they mention that the multi engine rating is an add on to the program. Their website states that it opens you up to more entry level corporate opportunities once you complete the program. Obtaining more ratings is obviously better for your experience as a pilot in general but is there a substantial benefit to holding the ME ratings as far as an airline is concerned? I am not looking for a cheaper and faster road, just trying to get an idea of the pros/cons of holding those ratings from more experienced people.

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Jared,

ATP offers their standard Career Pilot Program with 25hrs Multi or another with 100hrs. BOTH programs include ALL the ratings including Multi and Multi instructor. The difference is the 100hrs multi gives additional multi time for those who don’t want to go the Regional route and need more ME time to qualify.

Fantastic! Thank you for the information and your time Adam, I really appreciate it!
