Hello,
I am new to this forum.
I am an ivy-league trained architect considering a full career change to become a pilot. Problem is I am 44 years old!
I know the current market is a good one for pilots at the regionals but I am still worried that I might not find a job given my age.
What are the opinions out there?
Any insight or experiences are much appreciated.
Thank you.
Daniel
Daniel,
Please take a look at the FAQ section as there is a detailed post in there about age related questions, along with a lot of other really good information.
Chris
Daniel,
As Chris said please take a look at the FAQs but this question gets asked daily and I believe we’ve been asked EVERY age from 16-60. Short answer is you’ll have zero issues getting hired provided you have no blemishes on your record and are successful in training. Getting to a Major may or may not happen depending on how soon you start, how quickly you finish and build your time and yes some luck but flying for a Regional is pretty much a lock.

Thank you, Chris. I wasn’t aware. I will take a look.
Thanks, Adam as well!
