My question is can you get a pilot license though you have had a misdemeanor marijuana charge that was dismissed via a diversion program.

The first question is can you get a medical which you should be able to do. Problem is when you apply the FAA will ask have you ever been arrested for anything alcohol or drug related. You’ll have to check the yes box and the FAA will do a review. If that’s all you have you should be fine but you should talk to an AME (Aviation Medical Examiner). After that you can do you training and get your license.
