What is the best way to get your flight hours that most airlines require?
Nathan,
Opinions may vary but I believe the best way (which is also the most common) is flight instruction. There are a fair amount of instructor jobs across the country so positions are available. Most important is there’s nothing better to increase your own skill and knowledge than teaching others. It’s also fantastic at improving situation awareness because the newbie sitting next to you will often try and kill you

Nathan,
For the vast majority of people, the best way to build flight time is by flight instructing. That is what all of the mentors on here did and I would say about 90% of new regional pilots do.

Nathan,
It all depends on what your standard of living is. Most pilots do live off of flight instructor salaries, all of the mentors on this website have done so.
