I want to join the school program and become a pilot but I have tattoos. My question is how does the field feel about tattoos and am I even able to become a commercial pilot?

ALL the airlines in the US currently prohibit “visible” tattoos. That means they must be able to be covered by your company uniform. No face, hands or upper neck and if you’ve got arm ink that’ll mean long sleeves, even in the summer.

Any tattoos that are “visible” as Adam mentioned, must be covered. Some of my friends wear long sleeves year-round because of their tattoos on their arms. I couldn’t imagine wearing long sleeves in 100+ F temperature during the summer …
