Private Pilot License hours

Hello, I’m 16 and was planning on getting my student pilot certificate. I wanted to know, since in order to get your private pilot license you have to be 17, can you start earning the necessary hours for PPL before 17 with a student pilot certificate and would those hours count for your PPL.

Yes they would. Since you can get your student certificate at 16 you could realistically start immediately and get you PPL on your 17th birthday.
