Update: only for foreign pilots… we will see if anymore updates happen as it is news breaking today.
SkyWest has followed Republics lead and created a New Hire training contract.
Republics contract is currently being challenged in court by their Teamsters Pilot Union. SkyWest has no Union so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
My general opinion is to avoid training contracts at all reasonable cost.

Wellllll, since ATP doesn’t permit foreign students Id say this is kind of moot.

The Aero Crew article was updated 45min after my original post, which is why I came back and put the “update” note.
It is aviation news regarding the biggest Regional in the industry, and if OO is hiring foreign pilots again I’m pretty sure that could negatively affect US citizens (ATP Students) trying to join the Regional ranks.
