This has been resolved thank you all
James,
You did mess up and your lawyer friend should stick to the courtroom.
The question is simple, it’s got nothing to do with what shows up, what’s been cleared, etc etc etc. The question is “have you ever?”. If the answer is yes and you answered no you lied on a Federal form. Further it asks at the end if you’ve answered truthfully and you signed it.
It’s up to you what you do from here but know WHEN (not if) the FAA catches up with you (could be next week, could be 20yrs from now) that’s when your lawyer friend will come in handy.
Adam
James,
You need to actually read the questions and answer them truthfully, that would have avoided the whole scenario you re in now (well, that and/or following the law). The FAA questions are very clearly written and even has a detailed explantation that goes with it. You need to consult with your AME. the FAA or an actual aviation attorney to see how to progress.
For those who might be wondering, this is how the FAA asks questions about drug use and criminal convictions:
Thank you Chris I spoke with an avitation attorney and will be in contact with the FAA to resolve this with hopefully minimal repercussions.
