Hello everyone, I hope to start the 5 month program with ATP soon, my question is: after I’m done with the 5 month training, will I have to apply to a cadet program and get accepted by one or is that something that ATP helps their students transition to?

ATP does have a Career Services division. That being said, applying to the airlines is generally an individual task.

ATP will help you but it’s up to you which (if any) programs you want to participate and take advantage of.

It is up to you for submitting applications to cadet programs. Similar, once you’re applying for First Officer positions, that is upon you and typically there are websites like Airline Apps or the company’s own where you will complete an application.

ATP laid the foundation building the pathway program, it’s up to you to take advantage of it! That being said, applications are done on your own but feel free to seek advice from the career services department and other instructors who have applied before you.
