Hi! I am a college student and was wondering what the minimum GPA requirements are to get into major airlines? I currently have a 3.7 and hope to maintain or get it higher. Let’s say if it falls to a 3.5, would I still be okay? Is flight school more important than college when getting accepted into the airlines? Thank you for your time and help!

Some airlines have min GPAs (not all). Those that do its usually 3.5 (give or take). Obviously higher is better so definitely try and keep up your efforts.
As far as flight schools being important it’s there you also want to do well. Failed checkrides are more detrimental than a poor GPA.
Bottomline you should always strive to do your best in all areas.

When I was hired at Continental, the requirement was 3.0. As Adam mentioned, failed check rides look much worse than a low GPA. Always put forth your best effort.
