Hi, It’s my childhood dream to become a pilot and I’m diagnosed with color blindness where I’m not able to read few ishihara cards. It really hurts to know that you cannot perceive your dream… Is there any ANY possibility that I can still go ahead and become a pilot in commercial airlines or any other?..
You will need to work with an FAA medical examiner as there are a few alternatives to the cards, but the key is that you will absolutely need to be able to distinguish the difference between certain colors. Again, an FAA doctor would be your best resource on this.
