How do written tests work?

Hello all, I am wondering how the written tests work. Do you do them during ATP? Or can you knock them out before? I’ve heard on this forum that you do them before and with long studying periods? Any response is helpful.

Marcus,

We highly recommend taking as many of the writens as possible in advance.

Marcus,

As Chris said, it is recommended to take the written exams before the program, but you certainly don’t have to. There’s enough time to take the written tests during the program. A lot of students would agree though, that taking the written tests beforehand is the way to go.

Honestly I’m confused by your post?

Adam

What I meant is if you can finish your written tests before starting ATP.

Marcus,

As Tory said it’s definitely not a requirement. That said ATPs program is designed to prepare pilots for the rigors of airline training. Most people find the program to be very challenging. Anything you can do to lighten the load is encouraged so completing as many writtens as you can is a really good idea.

Marcus,

Please see my original response to your initial question, as I answered it there and provided a link to more detailed information.
