November I finished my last training event, the CRJ 200 checkout. On the CRJ fleet at Skywest, since we fly the 200, 700 and 900 we have separate checkouts in addition to IOE. After finishing that, I was given my reserve schedule for the month. I got RE2 (9am-9pm). It was maxed out, 5 day buckets with the minimum two days off between each. It was pretty rough as a commuter. I credited 34 hrs.
Highlights of the month:
-OBR (out of base reserve) is a magical thing for a commuter. Instead of accruing hotel bills waiting to fly, I had 5 nights in a hotel paid for by the company. Plus I was accruing per diem the whole time away from base. I also had a friend from college living in Detroit so I got to do quite a bit of sightseeing while waiting for the phone to ring.
-I also had my first all female crew!
