Will bad credit score or collections hurt me getting a job in airlines?

Hi,

I was meaning to ask but will bad credit score and pending collections will be an issue to get a job in big airlines or even regional airlines? Currently I work in the IT industry and just became US citizen and it was always my passion to become a commercial pilot. Issue is, my past. Will it effect? And no it’s not close to 7 years of collection, probably 2.

It ABSOLUTELY will! Airlines run credit checks on all applicants and they don’t just hand the keys to $100mil jets to people who are irresponsible. Id get that cleaned up.
