Hi everyone! Happy to be amongst you aviation enthusiasts! I’m so excited. I’ve gotten my First Class Flight Medical Certificate. I have began studying for the PAR. Just took my discovery flight yesterday. I plan to do the Part 61 route because I’m anxious to begin the journey now & need time to rebuild my credit before applying for the school loan, but once I get my PPL, I plan to attend ATP Flight School.
I’ve got 19 years in the Air Force but did not serve as a pilot. I’m retiring soon & thought this would be a great career change.
Thank you all for the wealth of knowledge you share here. I barely ask any questions because they’ve mostly all been answered.

Congrats on getting your medical and starting your PAR study! Getting that written knocked out ASAP will benefit you so much during your training. I look forward to seeing your progress and the day 1 ATP photo in a few months.

Glad to hear the forum has helped you! Sounds like you’re well on your way. Just something to keep in mind when the time comes, starting ATP credit private you’ll need not only the private certificate but 78 hours of flight time. I wanted to give you a heads up now so you can budget for that extra flight time.
